For over 35 years, Yayasan Kartidaya Sahabat Indonesia (Kartidaya) has been at the forefront of impactful change, delivering programs and partnerships that empower communities across Indonesia through Bible Translations. With a legacy rooted in integrity, innovation, and social responsibility, we are proud to work with diverse stakeholders to advance sustainable development and equity.
Kartidaya is seeking an inspiring and strategic leader to serve as our next Executive Director. The position requires working from the Jakarta office and a willingness to travel across Indonesia, with occasional international travel.
As we look to the future, we are searching for a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and impact. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to our mission, proven leadership experience, and the ability to navigate complex, multi-sectoral environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- To translate and progress the organization’s vision and mission into concrete strategies, programs, and a work culture that impacts the language community.
- To lead and manage the organization holistically, from strategy development, operations, human resources, finance, partnerships, to impact evaluation.
- To serve as a bridge between internal and external stakeholders, including organ yayasan, staff, volunteers, partners (churches/institutions/individuals), donors (domestic and international), and the language communities.
- To build unity amidst the diversity of the entire team by fostering a collaborative, humble, integrity-based, and professional work culture.
- To ensure the sustainability of service through human resource development, leadership regeneration, and resource diversification (finance, networks, technology).
Qualifications:
- Spirituality & Integrity: Strong spiritual maturity, a prayerful life, and a character that reflects Christ’s love and high integrity.
- Strategic Leadership: Proven senior leadership experience, able to develop a long-term vision, and make strategic decisions amidst pressure and limitations.
- Organizational Management: Mastery of modern management principles (planning, evaluation, HR, finance, organizational communication) and the ability to apply them in a foundation context.
- Relational Skills: Ability to build relationships across age groups, cultures, and institutions (from indigenous communities and synod leaders to international donors).
- Fundraising Skills: Strong track record in developing fundraising strategies and building donor trust.
- Ministry Context: Understanding the cross-cultural context of ministry in Indonesia and possessing a heart and humility to serve.
- Adaptive and Innovative: Ready to lead an organization in the digital age, open to change, and able to manage teams across generations and diverse backgrounds.
- Communication: Excellent and active Indonesian and English language skills for oral and written. Other languages in Indonesia is a plus.
